The main challenges in developing and implementing the idea include overcoming cultural and institutional resistance to increased female participation in environmental sciences, securing sufficient and diversified funding, and creating a curriculum that is both engaging and relevant. Attracting and retaining qualified female mentors, maintaining participant engagement, and effectively measuring the program’s impact are also crucial challenges. Addressing these issues will require active community engagement, diverse funding sources, and continuous feedback and adjustments.

Expectations from the challenge

From the challenge, we expect to gain valuable insights and resources that will enhance the "Girls for the World" project. We anticipate receiving constructive feedback to refine our design and implementation strategy, as well as networking opportunities to connect with mentors, partners, and stakeholders who can provide support and collaboration. Additionally, we hope for increased visibility, which can attract additional funding and support. Access to critical resources and validation of the project's impact and feasibility will also be valuable, helping to strengthen our position for securing further support and scaling the initiative.
